Participants in the “Outsmart Investment Fraud” webinar will learn about the red flags of fraud, how to verify the credentials of investment advisers and get tips for avoiding costly financial mistakes.
The free webinar is from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday and people do not have to be AARP members to attend.
Registration is required online at aarp.org/HI. Click on “Upcoming Events” and sign up at the Outsmart Investment Fraud link. After registering, participants will get a link to the webinar and information about how to participate.
Featured speakers include Christine Kieffer, senior director of the FINRA Investor Education Foundation, and Rob Mascio, director of Investor Education Outreach with the FINRA Foundation. The FINRA foundation was established by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority to empower underserved Americans with the knowledge, skills and tools to make sound financial decisions through life.
