David “Kawika” Kaulia Sr., 65, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 9 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was a school bus driver for the state, construction laborer for Hawaiian Dredging and driver for Speedi-Shuttle. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteer, he assisted with feeding the homeless, caring for the sick, driving seniors to appointments entertaining at senior care facilities.
