Jane Dineen Panek, 83, of Hilo and Palermo, Maine, died Nov. 23 at at her Hilo home. She was a professor emerita of education at Molloy College in Rockford Centre, Long Island, N.Y., chapter oranizer and former chair of the American Association of University Professors’ Committee of College and University Government, taught an annual workshop at University of Hawaii at Hilo in conjunction with the American Association of University Women’s Scholarship Committee, and taught as a volunteer at Hale Nani Correctional Facility.
