BIIF basketball: Ka’u beats Christian Liberty 43-34 in OT, advances in playoffs

TOM LINDER/West Hawaii Today Waiakea’s Jolie Mantz (pictured) and Avery Snyder paced Waiakea with 15 points apiece during Friday night’s 59-22 victory at Kealakehe in BIIF Division I girls basketball. In the semifinals on Monday, the Warriors play at Hilo, while Konawaena hosts Keaau. Both games are at 6 p.m. The Division I final is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium. In Division II, the playoff continue at 6 p.m. Monday with Honokaa hosting Ka’u and Kohala traveling to Pahoa.

One redemption game down and at least one more to go for Ka’u’s girls basketball team.
