UPDATE: The 9-1-1- emergency system is now operational.
PREVIOUSLY:
Hawaii Island police report that technical issues are affecting the 9-1-1 call system.
Police request those experiencing an emergency to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311. An update will be provided when the 9-1-1 system is restored.
