On Aug. 27, Eagle Scout candidate Kaden Lau, 17, led the Scouts in this beautification project by clearing the area of weeds to plant six trees as part of his requirement to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout.
This planting, behind Goodyear along the soccer field embankment, goes along with the new extension of the Bayfront trails project. Trees are important for shade, heat reduction and carbon sequestration. The East Hawaii Outdoor Circle celebrates each new planting, for the future of keiki.
