Born in Kailua-Kona, she was a room maid at the former Kona Inn Hotel and also a maid and cook for the Wall family. She was a member of the ILWU and Lanakila Congregational Church. Friends may call at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lanakila Congregational Church in Kainaliu for a 3 p.m. service with burial to follow in the church’s cemetery. Casual attire, flowers welcome. Survived by daughters Barbara (Gordon) Palmer of Waikoloa, Jeanette Apiki of Honolulu, Frances (David) Hudson of Maui; son William Kelii of Honolulu; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. James Kealoha Lancaster, 85, of Hilo died Feb. 24 in Las Vegas, Nev. Eleanor Ann Larson, 90, recently of Hilo, died Feb. 17 at Morningstar Living Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Born in Everett, Wash., she worked as a registered nurse. She volunteered during her retirement at hospitals in both Bozeman, Mont., and Hilo and was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Hilo. Mainland services to be held at a later date. Survived by sons Bill (Marcia) Larson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Bruce (Pat) Larson of Hilo, and Brent (Wanda) Larson of Rigby, Idaho; brother Douglas Marshall of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Teruo Matsumoto, 85, of Holualoa died Feb. 26 at his residence. Born in Keopu Mauka, he was a contractor and owner of Teruo Matsumoto Inc. He was an avocado and macadamia nut farmer and had a nursery of exotic flowers. He was a member of Keopu Citizens Club, Daifukuji Soto Mission and Keopu Kumiai.
