Hedness Edwin, 42, of Keaau died Jan. 1 at Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. Service 3 p.m. today to 10 a.m. Saturday at the family home, 16-1971 King Kamehameha Blvd. in Keaau. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Survived by mother, Lona; father, Istor; wife, Taitlin; daughters, Edleen, Edna, Menolyn, Edni, Edmin and Kailei; sons, Edmen Jr. and Isasmen; sons-in-law, Gabe and Junior; two grandsons and a granddaughter; other family. Born in Kealakekua, she was a retired Kona district supervisor for the county Department of Motor Vehicles, co-owner of Ono’s Towing and member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and Akitsu Kumi.
