Elizabeth Reynolds Havard, 98, of Hilo died March 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Fairhope, Ala., she was a retired physical education teacher. Services to be held in Alabama. Survived by son, Jesse B. (Becki) Havard, Jr. of Highland, Md.; daughter, Mildred (Richard F. Pacheco, Jr.) Cooke of Australia; daughter-in-law, Diane T. Havard of Daphne, Ala.; brother, Ralph Reynolds of Mobile, Ala.; hanai son, Keith Kehaulani Kaaukai of Hilo; hanai daughter, Myrna Ablao of Hilo; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Lily Chieko Arikawa, 92, of Hilo died March 3 at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama facility. Born in Paauhau, she was a retired manager with the former Del Monte Papaya. She was also a member of Hilo Daijingu and the former owner of Skipper’s Cove Restaurant. Private family services held. Garry Loo Yamada, 54, of Keaau died Jan. 31 at Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was the field operations director for Yamada Diversified and the field commissioner/fundraising coordinator for the Keaukaha Pop Warner Football Association. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Christian Fellowship Gathering Place in Hilo. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Celebration of life at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Wailoa State Park’s large pavilion. Casual attire. No flowers; lei OK.
