1,000 free youth season tickets for UH-Manoa football will be provided through the “Keiki Season Ticket Package.”
With the purchase of one or more adult season tickets in the Ewa end zone, each household may claim up to two free season tickets for kids 13 and under to enjoy the Run-N-Shoot attack at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex.
Customers that participate in the “Keiki Season Ticket Package” this year will lock in the same promotion for the 2024 season.
“Timmy (Chang) has revitalized our community by focusing on local talent, and we want to do the same,” Director of Marketing and Fan Experience Eric Mathews said.
“We recognize how important football is to the islands, and the significance of family when it comes to the sport. As we work to make the experience better, we want families of all shapes and sizes to be a part of what we’re doing at every game. It’s time we make the extra effort to make you feel welcome and we’re excited to have you here cheering on the ‘Bows!”
All 1,000 tickets will be on a first come, first serve basis through etickethawaii.com.
The promotion will last until Aug. 4 or while supplies last.
Each kid’s ticket will be marked differently compared to a regularly sold ticket in the Pacolian ticket app for check in on game day.
Galchenyuk to
check into assistance program after arrest
Former Arizona Coyotes player Alex Galchenyuk is entering the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program and apologized for hurling threats at officers during his arrest earlier this month.
Galchenyuk tweeted a letter on Tuesday apologizing for repeatedly using racial slurs toward an officer in training and threated to have two officers killed following a July 9 traffic stop.
“I am deeply ashamed of my recent behavior and I am beyond sorry to everyone I offended and hurt,” he wrote. “It was uncalled for, it was horrific and it has ruined this great new opportunity I was given by the Coyotes. I am beyond embarrassed and disappointed with myself and I feel awful for everyone I have let down.”
A Scottsdale Police Department report said Galchenyuk was erratic and aggressive toward officers after apparently crashing a car into a sign. Galchenyuk resisted the officers’ efforts to handcuff him and repeatedly uttered a racial slur toward the officer in training on the way to the Scottsdale jail, the report said.
He also threatened to have the officers and their families killed, citing connections in Moscow.
