Mayor Mitch Roth congratulated three Hawaii Island residents who have been recognized by Pacific Business News as members of the 2023 cohort of Hawaii’s Most Admired Leaders.
These individuals have been awarded for their contributions to Hawaii through their dedication, innovation and leadership within their respective organizations and communities, according to a press release from the mayor’s office.
The three honorees from Hawaii Island are Breeani Sumera-Lee, executive director of the Hawaii Rise Foundation; Rich Matsuda, interim observatory director of the W.M. Keck Observatory; and Dr. Sulma Gandhi, Hawaii health program officer for the Stupski Foundation.
“These honorees exemplify the values and qualities that make our community stronger and more vibrant,” Roth said in the press release. “Their commitment to positive change and their tireless efforts to improve the lives of our residents are truly admirable. We are immensely proud of their achievements.”
