Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired livestock manager for Kahuku Ranch, previously an agronomist with Parker Ranch, active with Mauna Kea Soil and Water Conservation District, NRCS, Hawaii Cattlemen’s Association, Hawaii Cattlemen’s Council, Hawaii Cattle Producers Cooperative Association and the West Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization.
