Hilo Bay has a striking new visitor moored off Coconut Island: the luxurious superyacht Liva O.
Musician and 14-time Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner Mark Yamanaka was quick to share a photo on Facebook, humorously captioned, “You guys seen my boat? I’ll have it parked here just one more night, I promise.”
According to the website Superyachtfan.com, the Liva O is valued at an astounding $250 million and is owned by German-American billionaire businessman Stephen Orenstein. While no one knows how long the Liva O will grace Hilo with her presence, one thing is certain: at Hilo Bay, most of us are have-nots, not “have-yachts.” Nice try, Mark Yamanaka.
