The Rev. Walther “Walt” Richard Dettweiler, 81, of Waimea died July 2 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Newark, N.J., he was a retired Episcopal priest, jazz musician, spiritual counselor and a long-time Alcoholics Anonymous member.
