HONOLULU (AP) — Authorities say a 59-year-old Kahului man died in an apparent drowning in Kihei.
Stephen King was found floating face down Sunday afternoon about 5 yards offshore at Kamaole Beach Park.
Maui police said responders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation after pulling King from the water. But they were unable to revive him, and King was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
