Intelligence agencies, combined with the military-industrial-university complex, have been using the heart of this island (Pohakuloa), as well as the two largest/highest mountains in the Pacific Ocean, for black-ops projects for more than a half-century.
Most of them are hidden underground. But the so-called telescopes — especially the huge one now foisted upon us — do much more than bring in the stars. What actually is observed is not disclosed to us peasants.
If I told you what they actually are seeing, you would ridicule the assertions as fictitious. Reports are perpetually whitewashed for public consumption.
Furthermore, the monstrous TMT also will be a transmitter — zapping our own island residents and planet — not by happenstance, but by design.
I will refrain from saying more here. These facts alone justify protest. The protesters couch their objections in spiritual terms (which also are valid), but many of them know that more — much more — than spiritual desecration is at stake.

No harm, no foul
Referencing the Washington Post’s recent op-ed, “Intolerance on the march in U.S.”: Come on, you good Christian fundamentalist folks in Indiana. Ease up a bit on your rigid intolerance of those with whom you disagree religiously.
I cite an illustration here wherein it makes more peaceful sense to just accept that others often embrace religious beliefs or non-beliefs differently.
Suppose, for example, that you are fundamentalist pharmacist, and a gay or lesbian wants to purchase contraceptive pills. Why can’t you just silently acknowledge your different religious beliefs and moral standards, make the sale and let it go at that? No harm, no foul.
My wife and I have coined a word: “tweach” (to each his own.) We can disagree with others, but that doesn’t mean we are always right.

Why is the County Council so silent regarding the mayor’s abuse of a county credit card?
Personally, I am stunned this was allowed to go on so long. Where are the checks and balances?
Council, please do your job and investigate.
