Robert B. Morris Sr., 96, of Honolulu and formerly of Waimea, died April 14 in Honolulu. Born March 26, 1919, in Hilo, he retired as the second engineer of the maintenance department at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, installed refrigeration and air conditioning systems for the Heide &Cook Company of Honolulu, was an owner/operator at Aloha Taxi in Hilo and worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps out of the camp in Waimea. Friends may call Thursday at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea. Visitation at 9 a.m. Celebration of Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire, flowers welcome. Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Waimea County Cemetery. Survived by daughter, Patricia White of Honolulu; son, Robert (Kate) Morris Jr. of California; sister, Beatrice Fisher of California; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
