HONOLULU (AP) — Honolulu Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in Kapiolani Park.
The man entered the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle while she was waiting for her daughter to finish soccer practice Monday evening. The man displayed a handgun and demanded her property.
Sgt. Kim Buffett of Crime Stoppers says surveillance video at a store in Haleiwa shows a man similar to the woman’s description using credit cards taken in the robbery.
Crime Stoppers and the Honolulu Police Department released images of the man Wednesday. He’s described as about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds.
Authorities are asking the public to call or text Crime Stoppers with any information.
