Elgen Kazuyoshi Fujimoto, 86, of Hilo died April 17 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Volcano he was a retired state public housing maintenance worker, retired carpenter, U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of Disabled American Veterans Hilo Chapter No. 6, Korean War Veterans Big Island Chapter No. 231, Korean War Veterans Association Oahu Chapter 1, Hawaii Carpenters Union, Hilo Carpenter’s Pension Club, Anela Street Kumiai, Honomu Henjoji (Odaishisan) Mission and Yamaguchi Kenjinkai, and was a United Public Workers retiree. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Friday (May 6) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 5 p.m. Burial 9 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Janet K.
