Born in Waiakea Homestead, he was a sales manager and customer service representative for the former Aloha Airlines, retired reserve Hawaii County police officer, doorman at the former Kona Hilton and Royal Kona Resort, member of Bunny Brown’s Hilo Hawaiians band, Merrie Monarch Men’s Chorus and Royal Order of Kamehameha I, past president of Kai O Pua Canoe Club and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran.
