Police charged a 34-year-old Kailua-Kona man with attempted murder and felony assault in connection with an incident late last month in Kona.
On Oct. 28, police responded to a report of a disturbance near a service station on the 75-900 block of Henry Street in Kailua-Kona and discovered an unconscious man with head injuries.
The 39-year-old man was flown to an Oahu hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Investigation led to the identity of a suspect, 34-year-old Anthony Graham Beaudet-Close of Kailua-Kona. He was arrested Sunday morning and charged Monday afternoon with attempted murder and first-degree assault.
His bail was set at $150,000 and he remains in the Kona cellblock pending his initial court appearance Wednesday.
