Hawaii Electric Light Co. will close Banyan Way in Hilo between Kalanianaole Avenue and the Hilo Seaside Hotel. The road will be closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week from Sunday (Nov. 27) to Saturday, Dec. 31.
HELCO will be performing repairs to its underground fuel supply line as part of its ongoing work to ensure service reliability and environmental protection.
Drivers are asked to slow down and drive with caution in the construction area. Access will be provided to local traffic only. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this period.
