The Hawaii Prep sophomore provided a few old-school answers in regards to her favorite song and cartoon character, but Higgins is a central figure as a new breed of Ka Makani try to maintain their lofty perch.
She was first-team all-BIIF last season as HPA won its third consecutive state title.
This year, on a team looking for difference-makers to emerge, Higgins stood out in the preseason, leading her team to three wins and the tournament title Sunday at the Ka Makani Classic.
