Born in Hilo, he was the proprietor of the former Kurohara’s clothing store in Hilo, a marketing consultant, and member of the Kaumana Terrace Kumiai, Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce, Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Hilo Jaycees.
