The Rainbow Warriors busted out Sunday for a 14-1 victory against San Jose State, extending their win streak to five and securing their best 23-game start since 2007.
Jackson Rees (3-0) was a beneficiary of all the run support, pitching eight stout innings in which he allowed only a run, five hits and four walks with three strikeouts.
With seven starters getting hits, UH (15-8) cranked out 13 in all, getting two apiece from Johnny Weeks (two runs, two RBIs), Kekai Rios (run, RBI), Adam Fogel (two runs, three RBIs), Tyler Murray (two runs, RBI) and Jordan LaFave (run, RBI).
Fogel, a freshman, hit his first career home run, lifting his average to .348, second-best on the team behind Rios (.373).
Rees needed just 83 pitches before handing the ball to Brody Hagel-Pitt, lowering his ERA to 3.50.
On Saturday night, Dominic DeMiero (4-1) pitched eight strong innings in UH’s 5-4 win.
The Spartans left town 9-14.

The Rainbow Warriors (22-4, 12-4 MPSF) finished their home slate with a 17-0 mark to extend their home win streak to 21 matches Saturday night with a 25-19, 25-17, 19-25, 25-17 victory against Cal State Northridge.
Following the contest, Kupono Fey, Jennings Franciskovic, Hendrik Mol, and Iain McKellar were honored during the traditional Senior Night ceremony that featured a special haka.
Fey shared team-high honors with 16 kills for his eighth double-figure kill match of the season along with six digs and two blocks.
