Thomas John “Tommy” Carvalho, 70, of Keaau, formerly of Honolulu, died April 3 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired pressman with the former Honolulu Advertiser and U.S. Navy veteran. Memorial gathering from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 19) at the Hilo Boat Ramp across from Suisan. Friends can call again from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Bellows Field Beach Park on Kalanianaole Highway in Waimanalo, Oahu. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by daughters, Cindy Carvalho of Kailua, Oahu, and Wendy (Lash) Eversole of Cottage Grove, Ore.; four grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
