Leland Waltjen, 11, plays a ring toss game Friday during Malama Da Mind, the 12th annual National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day event celebrating individuality at Aunty Sally’s Lu‘au Hale in Hilo. Many community organizations set up information booths supporting Big Island youth. There also were youth performances, entertainment, fun activities and free chili and rice.
