Hawaii County has been recognized for financial reporting for the 29th year in a row.
The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada gave the county a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report.
The county first won the award in 1988.
An award of financial reporting achievement will be presented to county Controller Kay Oshiro.
