Police arrested a 28-year-old Puna man who was the subject of a wanted bulletin for an outstanding bench warrant and questioning in an unrelated assault investigation.
Police arrested Daniel S.K. Valente-Akau late Thursday evening on a contempt of court warrant in lower Puna.
He made a court appearance Friday
Valente-Akau also is under investigation for an unrelated assault, but hasn’t been charged in that case, police said.
