Waimea-based Shaka Soap has announced that it will participate in a luxury Gift Lounge hosted by GBK Productions on June 1-2, at an exclusive location in Hollywood, Calif., in honor of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards nominees and presenters. Shaka Soap is participating in the annual event in association with The Artisan Group.
“We are so excited to have our lotion, sugar scrubs, and soap be prominently featured on display at The Artisan Group’s exhibit,” said Jessica Taylor, sole proprietor of Shaka Soap. “All attending celebrities will receive our jute bag gift set with a lotion and lip balm in their swag bags and will be asked to take photos with their display piece. This event will also be attended by over 50 media outlets.”
After its involvement in the 2012 Academy Awards, the Big Isle company had the opportunity to provide donations for a fundraiser for MS, participated in an Earth Day event, gifting to celebrities such as: Tom Hanks, P!nk, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dave Matthews, Drew Barrymore, Ellen Degeneres, Orlando Bloom, Sting, Mark Ruffalo, and Edward Norton.
Recently a custom gift bag was made for Tom Cruise and family as well. Following the MTV Movie Awards event, Shaka Soap will be preparing for the Primetime Emmys which take place in September, where the products will be on display at the luxury gift lounges once more.
