SJS wins play-in

St. Joseph School’s girls volleyball team won the play-in for the No. 8 seed in the Central Pacific Bank/BIIF DII championship playoff — defeating homestanding Laupahoehoe CPCS 3-0 on Wednesday night.

WAIMEA — The Ka‘u High School football team’s win streak ended as Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy’s win streak increased to three, as Ka Makani defeated the visiting Trojans 38-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Kamehameha Schools – Hawai‘i varsity football team won its ninth straight game and final home game Friday, dominating Pahoa HS 49-0 and allowing three senior defensive linemen to take snaps and score touchdowns.

Cougars topple Vikings

KEAAU — For the first time since 2011, Kea‘au High School’s football team defeated Hilo High, dominating the Vikings 28-3 to win homecoming on Thursday.

The BIIF volleyball season came closer to its end on Wednesday — with many teams playing their second or third-to-last games, and Kamehameha Schools – Hawai‘i completing its final game.
