UH-Hilo athletes post highest GPA since joining PacWest

NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference student athletes recorded an overall grade point average of 3.34, the highest in the 16-year history of the PacWest Academic Achievement Award — with UH-Hilo also recording its own highest average GPA since joining the PacWest, 3.246.

Keaukaha 10U coed volleyball team wins tourney

The Keaukaha Jr. 10U Volleyball Team participated in the Aloha Summer Classic on Oahu during Memorial Day weekend, and placed first out of ten teams. Teams from Hilo swept the podium — with Mau Loa VBC Hilo 10s Black Coed and Eleu Malulani placing second and third, respectively.

Futsal championship coming soon

Youth and adult athletes will have an opportunity to compete in a unique sporting event — the 2023 Hawaii International Futsal Cup, which will take place July 27 through 29 at Spencer Kalani Schutte District Park in Waimea.

AUSTIN, Texas – Graduating University of Hawai’i at Hilo shortstop Casey Yamauchi capped his collegiate career receiving Academic All-America Third Team honors, as announced Wednesday morning and selected by the College Sports Communicators.
