Police are seeking leads on the identities of two men responsible for the mid-morning Monday beating of a 21-year-old man in downtown Hilo.

Police arrest 16 for DUI

During the week of Jan. 28-Feb. 3, Hawaii Island police arrested 16 motorists for DUI. Two of the drivers were involved in a traffic accident. One was younger than 21.

County to conduct traffic signal tests

The county Department of Public Works will test new traffic signals at the intersections of Kawailani and Iwalani streets and Kawailani at Ainaola Drive and Pohakulani Street on Tuesday.

Police are seeking leads on the whereabouts of a 26-year-old Puna man wanted for allegedly assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, reckless endangering and resisting an order to stop.
